Mark Segal is a real estate professional with over thirty years of experience in assisting clients achieve their real estate goals. He has always shown a professional attitude and the integrity to support it. Mark has an optimism for life that keeps him thinking outside the box. This trait only further assists his ability to facilitate successful transactions for his clients.
In 1977 Mark started in the industry with Uniprop Inc., a property management/development company specializing in manufactured housing communities. As Vice President of Operations, the experience gained has proven invaluable when helping to understand the needs of property owners.
The next facet of his career brought him into the corporate side of the industry, working with Southland Corporation (7-Eleven). This training enabled him to understand the where’s and why’s of site selection. Valvoline Corporation (Instant Oil Change) was the next stop in Mark’s career. Another transition that only furthered his ability to successfully complete deals.
In 1990 Mark left corporate real estate to begin his career in commercial real estate brokerage. He later opened Spectrum Real Estate where he represented a number of national, regional, and local companies in their site selection needs.
Realizing that no man is an island, Mark looked to find a brokerage firm that would enable him to work with others and garner the synergy necessary to help provide him and his clients’ better service. At KJ Commercial, Mark is involved in a variety of sale, lease, and site selection projects, representing national and regional clients.
Mark graduated from Oakland University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree, Majoring in Speech Communication, and a Minor in Business Management. He is also an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). Lastly, we are proud to say that Mark was named a 2016 CoStar Power Broker.
