Longstanding Waterford restaurant sells to make way for hip, new concept…
Kevin Jappaya and Melissa Valentine took on a new assignment to sell the longstanding restaurant building located at 4000 Cass Elizabeth Road, Waterford, MI. This 10,210 square foot building on nearly 3 acres, formerly home to Mitch’s and O’Tooles, had its share of obstacles to overcome. The caliber of this venture combined with a niche market limited the operators willing to take on such a task. After several months of diligently marketing the property, KJ Commercial found a local restaurateur with the experience and means to acquire the former Key Largo restaurant. A lengthy due diligence period was conducted to ensure all facets of the property were in order and on October 21st Doug Young and family became the new Owners. Doug, operator of the Irish Tavern at Cooley and Elizabeth Lake in Waterford, and Downtown 51 Grill in Pontiac, will cater to eager Waterford residents with a new gastro pub concept called Fork N’ Pint.
